Windshield Posts

These are not as simple as they look.

There's much modifying to do to them because they just don't fit for reasons of this and that.  What we did here is the same as in the rest of the body parts, we made them as close as close as we could to match the other side and went from there.

 The bottom of our pilots side was different from the passengers side.

We had to make a decision of which we were going to try to match and then start cutting reglassing and sanding.

The pilots side best fitting and was the lesser of the two evils so we decided make the passengers side match it.

Guess your wondering why there are so many pictures of the right post huh?

Well when we got to our doors stiffeners we had to modify the posts once again
because we didn't think to lay them up there at the time.

grumble! grumble!.

 
By this time you'll have a real hatred of fiberglass but at the same time
you like it as it can be modified to your needs rather easily as long as you don't mind itching and sanding.

The smell of resin in the morning will grow on you for sure lol.
