We started out with what you call an Equalizer trailer hitch that had a built in stabalizer control but had to move on to a different type of unit because we changed setups.  It worked great on our Chevy Suburban but it won't make it with a motorhome with an extended rear length like the 32 foot Class C unit we bought.

We really liked this unit, it was easy to hook and unhook plus we didn't have to remember to loosen the sway control every time we wanted to back up.

As long as you aren't using an extended motorhome over 24 foot we highly recommend this unit.

Because of our motorhome we ended up having to go with is this type of unit.

With the tuff tow unit we bought we no longer need a weight distrubiting hitch but we still needed to have two sway control units and because our previous unit had this built into it so we opted for this type of unit.

Also Just for chits and giggles we still have to have a Weight-Distributing Hitch
because acording to some 16 different states laws we must have one.

99% of folks legal folks (police) in the world have no idea
what what a Tuff-Tow Unit is so rather than risk getting hasseled from the law we opted for this type of unit.

This unit is a pain in the ass to hook up and unhook

and we have to remember to loosen the sway control bars to back up or they snap off,

Wanna know how we know that?
