Tail Rotor Cable

Simple but not so simple.

If you follow the books like we did your pedals won't be correct.

That is one of the things John Spurling had to work on for us because the stroke wasn't correct. We were getting the correct readings on our tail rotor but not actually getting the stroke of the pedals correct. It's very hard to explain by a layman like me but trust me it is one thing you don't want to screw up on.

Another thing John busted us on
is the steel rod in the back where the tail rotor cable slides in and out when you are adjusting the tail rotor belt tension.

The large lock nuts that maintain the cables position were loose as a goose, no idea how but they were and they were painted with polish to meaning we checked them for torque so go figure.

After the tail rotor assembly is installed these nuts are everything but impossible to get to, so be sure to check it.
