Oil Bath

Everything here went by the book without any hitches right up to the point where we took it out and installed John Spurling's Cog belt drive.

We first completely built our ship from top to bottom the way RotorWay intended it to be built and then tore it back down for paint.  When we tried to get the main shaft out of the mast bearings we had a very difficult time and it didn't have any Loctite on the bearings yet.

It was at that time we decided to go ahead and spend our money and install the cog belt system on reassembly to save us the labor and pain of doing it at a later date.  We knew we were going to install it as soon as our 100 hours was up on the chain anyway and wanted to use the chain up giving us time to save up for the cog, but anyway we looked at it, now was the best time to do it, because later on down the line it would be a much more difficult installation and we would most likely be adding the cost of new bearings to the installation of it.  The cleanup of removing the chain and oil bath wasn't something we wanted to deal with.

Our views on the Cog Belt are in that section and while it may make a few folks mad including the folks at RotorWay we posted them there anyway.
