Main Rotor Blade Shaft

Nothing to it. This section is was easy.

We did have to grind a tad off one side on the tower to get the shaft lined up but other than that it went by the book.

One thing we had trouble with on final reassembly

was that the shaft wasn't as far down as it was the first time. We checked everything we could think of and couldn't find a reason for it. This was discovered when we went to install the two spacer halves. We just shaved a bit off them and went with it.

Drilling the 4 letter D sized holes cost us about $600.00 bucks.

Our drill press bed was tipped outward and couldn't be altered so we bought a new one to be sure it was perfect.
