Super Time had by one and all. Homer's just keeps getting better and better.
We didn't have our ship finished yet but it didn't matter. This year we were determined to camp on the grounds so we wouldn't miss anything. We loaded up one of our work trucks, a large P-30 Step Van with camping stuff and hit the road for Ohio. We didn't have all the comforts of home but we had air conditioning, plenty of food and some sleeping bags lol. We even brought our barbecue with us lol. We ate good, met a lot of new friends and learned even more about RotorWay helis.

This was a ship that pulled up a little to late and hit the ground this year.
Sad moment for the owner and luckily he wasn't hurt but his helicopter sure was. Despite it happening the meet went on with the same robust it always does.
Dave Reisender from New York brought his partially built ship down with him for John Spurling and Homer to do a demo installation of the Pro Drive Cog Belt and the Pro Drive Electric clutch. They left a battery attached to it so people could play with it and see how it all worked.

Kim, one of the Rotorway heli owners had an issue with his ship one night.
The right hand forward skid tube broke completely off. He was experiencing a vibration in the ship he couldn't figure it out. While he was pushing his ship to the hanger across the grass he or someone else noticed the front skid dragging the ground when the nose was in the air. That was nothing but lucky! Homer had someone there weld it up that night and Kim was back in business the next morning.
The nights were as good as the days.

They were spent around the campfires at various camps and we got around to most of them for chit chat but mostly hung around the Spurling encampment lol. Lots of great stories and we learned alot about everything from flying to building these things. Homer showed home movies of helicopters grinding into the ground from several careless mishaps.

We got to see the ship Glen Easterday bought from the guy in California, what a paint job!. Its the only thing we've seen out there that even comes close to Doug Bush's wild paint scheme.
One purty Enstrom was there, lord what a beauty.

They ain't as pretty as a RotorWay but there way kewl machines. I'm writing this way after the fact so I can't remember everything but these were the highlights.
There were
lots more pictures
but we
scattered them out into our builders help section of information and
pictures we've collected.
