Homer's 2001 Award

"Best Built Helicopter"

This award was the most meaningful and probably will always be of any that we received. The reason for that is it, like all the others, was totally unexpected with one exception!  It was given to us by 51 other RotorWay builders who all built their own helicopters. These folks knew the trials and tribulations of exactly what it took to get our ship built and exactly what they were looking at. Donna and I being brand new not only to the rotorcraft building world but to aviation itself were totally surprised. We thought we did a great job of building our ship but when the folks with the caliber of this bunch of people at the biggest RotorWay meet ever  told us, "ya done good"  it really meant something. It made the 2 and 1/2 years we labored on the project worth every minute not to mention every penny we put into it!
