Garage/Carport Building

We had planned on building our ship in our basement garage

and it wasn't long before we figured out we didn't have enough ceiling height to pull it off so we had to come up with a better building room.

Our solution was enclosing our carport.

It already had a ceiling and one wall, all we had to do was make 3 walls and add a couple of doors and we were in business.

Since we're in the glass business

we chose thermopane windows for the walls. That would give us plenty of light for working in the daylight hours and be our cheapest way out.

We ended up having to build our own entrance door

because no one made a door that narrow to fit out opening we had.

The big over heard door was also a problem since we needed 8 foot 2 inches of clearance

to get the ship in and out. With alot of ingenuity we overcame each and every obstacle and finally got back to building our helicopter a month and a half later.

Did you know that canned foam wont come off your hands or bricks

wanna know how we know that? lol
