IMHO:  The 10 (or 15) amps is prob'ly worst case, with the pump
deadheaded against a stuck regulator and relieving internally.
One could expect nominal running current to be about a third of that.

Yes, so was I. Those are max ratings though. I can't find the web page now but it was a Bosch data sheet. There are two versions a 150psi and a 250 psi version the 250 psi version draws 15 amps.  RW has one fuel pump and one ignition unit on a 15 amp fuse. The ignition can't draw more than about 3-5 amps so the pump must be in the 5-10 amp range by observation.
