Foot Pedal Grease Zerts Mods

The plans on the kit didn't call for these but we installed them anyway.

When we were fitting all the parts on the pedal cross tube I didn't really like the idea of metal parts being allowed together so I called Tom Smith at Rotorway and he said you only need to grease them upon assembly and then never again for the life of the ship. Humm I thought to myself...if I ever did need to perform this operation I'd have to completely tear down the ship to get to the pedal cross tube then remove and dismantle it to do it. I found this hard to imagine so we drilled and tapped some holes with threads for grease zerts and installed them anyway. Needed or not at least we have the capability of doing it. Weight wise you could just leave the zert fitting out and install it while your greasing the pedal and then remove it. We decided to leave ours installed so we also had to make the holes in the floorpan a bit bigger to allow space for the travel of the zert fitting.  If we didn't it would hit in the front when the pedal was in the full up position and also so we could get the floor pan on and off with the seat back bolted in place. If the holes wern't the size they are, the peddles would hang when we were trying to install it.
