Fire Extinguisher

Ahhh Another Ya gotta have it lol.

This pretty little  red thing costs about $65 bucks plus freight if I remember right.

We chose this unit because of its size and capabilities.

I'm told halon is a better choice but we were told that it's about to be banned and will no longer be available. I don't know if it's the same thing or perhaps I don't remember it right but from what I remember from my boating days, halon works by eating all the oxygen thus putting out the fire.  On a boat when you deploy it you better not be in a closed environment because it will also eat the oxygen right out of your lungs,,,not a good thing lol. Hopefully I'm wrong but imagine if I am flying with the doors on, if you have an infight fire in the instrument panel and while putting it out you save the day you kill yourself and your passenger...not good!

This little thing does add some weight to the ship and it's pretty useless if you can't get to it in an inflight emergency so we chose to mount it between the seats so that it was accessible to both pilot and passenger and have a very little influence on the CG of the ship. 

A couple of nut plates and we were done.
