FADEC Control Unit

We first installed this unit using the RotorWay method

but when we pressed on the buttons it would move in and out even with the gentlest of pressure.

 
This is what we came up with and did to solve that problem.
It still allows the panel to flex to fit the pod better but at the same time keeps the unit stable. Another reason I made the cover like this is I thought it might help keep the unit from receiving interference from the other avionics in the ship.

Later I saw a different method used on a ship belonging to Chris Stevens in Tulsa.

All they did was split the case and sandwich it on each side of the panel. The panel would have to remain flat to do this but it looked great and worked well so in hind sight that would be the way we'd go if we ever had it to do over.
