FAA Certification

March 27th 2001

This is a copy of our log book endorsement

The is a day we waited for for a long time.

The gal from the FAA "Pam Charles" was super great. She actually had flight time in a Rotorway and knew what she was looking at which was something we were really glad about.

She went over our ship from one end to the other and told us its the nicest Rotorway ship she's ever seen.

Next was filling out all the paperwork which didn't take any time at all. Lord we're we glad that was over lol.

The only hitch we had was obtaining our repair certificates,
that took close to a year and to date to get Clell's
and as of "January 2005" Donna never has received hers.

The Ships Operating Limitations

This is a copy of our test flight areas we were restricted to Pam marked out for us.

The first area allows me to fly from ( DKX)  Island home airport out as far as the lines on the paper go.

The second test area we asked for is on the southern portion of the map and allows me to fly in that area as long as we trailer the ship to Montvale airport.  Iv'e no idea why we have to trailer the ship to the other test area instead of being able to fly to and from it.  I never asked because we never did fly the southern area but I'm sure she had her reasons for it.

Special Airworthiness Certificate

Our Builders Insurance Paper

We also have a copy of the insurence binder here, thats not part of the FAA certification  process but its something to keep in mind before you start your ship up. The way our builders insurence policy worked we were told was once we started the engine, we no longer had builders insurence, and once it was certified, we damn sure didn't, so be ready for the big bang your checkbook is going to take once its certified.

Temporary Airmans Certificate

The Official Airmans Certificate

This is the ships Data Plate

which your supposed to have Engraved and Ready to go on  the ship at the time of the inspection.
