ECU Unit aka FADEC
This was a simple installation according to the the instructions until we figured out that
RotorWay dropped the ball and changed the unit and forgot to mention it in the videos, books and prints.

The
mounting box for the units is cut and dry and very simple,
just
don't put 90 degree bends in the aluminum at the bottom corners and
you wont have any cracks to deal with.
The
seat back lower access panel for the battery needs to be cut smaller
so
it would allow the ECU unit to attach to the seat back bottom further
over so it can be centered in the ship.
Unfortunately
we didn't know this at the time we cut the hole in it and had to
back up and come up with a solution for our bumble.
In hind sight cutting the hole smaller may prevent removing or installing the battery.
Its possible that the hole would be to small to allow it to pass in and out of the hole because it's a very tight fit, so if you do try that route, it would be a good idea to try it first prior to installing the ECU unit.
You can see in the pics we used the flange as is with out refiberglassing
and making a new plate by drilling holes in the access panel for the ECU mounting screws to have a place for the screw heads to protrude thru the panel. We also added a piece of metal to reinforce the fiberglass flange to help with the weight of the ECU box to prevent the seatback flange from stressing and breaking off since it was so small.
