This is where we started out flying our helicopter back in 2001
when weren't out ravaging the rest of the world

These are pics taken at Island home airport back in 2001
during our Phase I and Phase II home training after completing the courses at RotorWay.

Not long after these pics were taken we got the boot from this lovely place.

We pulled our ship out to take it to Tulsa for pre phase III training at RotorWay.  When we got back we parked the ship at our shop with the intention of putting it back after Spurlings Fly In in October.  When we went to take it back the new folks that had taken over our winderfull little peice of heaven told us they no longer had room for us due to a famous fellow named Stan Brock leasing the hanger that us and a bunch of others were in.   Well that dog didn't hunt to well because the plane they said was going to be in it didn't show up for several months and when it did there were still a few of the oldies that remained in the hanger that were there when we were. Anyways the Gal that manages the place kept over a barrel for months telling us next week, next week, for over a year.  During that time all we could do was watch the days tick by on two sign offs I had not to mention putting our dreams on hold for what seemed to be forever.

We finally decided to give it up and move on to find greener pastures which is litterly what we ending up finding lol.

We just about got back into the place but after hearing several horror storys from current tennents we decided not to.

Theres alot more to this story and when I get all the facts and the time to tell them I'll post it.
