Dog House

Lots of work here too as with all the other panels.

The top doesn't fit together properly but the rest went great. Once we got the two halves together it wasn't too bad.

We sat the two halves as a unit on the ship in position.  Then we used a block of wood as a spacer with a pencil on top of it and ran it across the top of the body to get the cut line.

It's a pretty simple thing but at the same times it's kind of hard to explain, hopefully you'll get the idea.

Any how we did that a few times, each time using a thinner piece of wood untill we finally got down to a 1/4 inch piece of rubber and got a great fit.

You have to build it crooked with a lean to the pilots side

to get it to clear the collective rod attaching point so watch it or you'll end up adding glass back to the passengers side to tip it toward the pilots side of the ship or the opposite to tip it to the passengers side.

We got lucky and ours worked out great.

If you look at the center seem at the top you can see that it needs a Dzus fastener

Well we installed one in the top roll of the joint on each side and wish we hadn't now. It makes removal and installation of the doghouse rather difficult so if at all possible don't repeat our mistake or you'll be cussing during these times like we do.
