Cyclic Boots

The Factory Cyclic Boots turned out to be somewhat of a challenge to install.
First of all, You must have the controls rigged properly before you can actually know where center position is.
Once you do that you can drill a small hole in the panels and obtain a center point to make the large hole the boots attach to. We did that and it worked great but there was a catch when we were finished. When we moved the cyclic full travel to the left and right both for and aft the boots would pop out. Usually you don't move the cyclic to the extremes but we didn't feel like having to pop them back in when and if that happened so we opted for custom made boots.
The costom made boots also allowed us to cure another problem we found later after we got the ships wiring installed.
That was being able to make the cyclic hole itsself a bit bigger thus preventing the wire from being chaffed because it was also hitting in the corners with the factory boots installed.

The nifty looking boots came out looking factory and attach with screws through the top of rings from the inside of the boots to nut plates installed on the bottom of the cyclic access panels.
The orange and white and the football style leather tie will be part of our paint scheme when we get the funds to have one lol.
