The Exec 162
Bubble Cover attaches with straps at the rear crosstubes, and with
special snap-on straps at the rear
upper corners.
These snap-on straps attach to the helicopter using snap-head screws
which are placed in an existing
screw hole
just aft and above the gas caps on either side. This attachment
allows the cover to completely enclose the
skylights and
gas caps.
Bubble Covers
are made of nylon Silver Laminate. Bruce's Custom Covers developed
Silver Laminate
especially for
aircraft protection. The outer material is a medium weight nylon
treated for ultraviolet resistance and
anti-static
buildup. The inner lining is brushed nylon tricot knit. Silver
Laminate is extremely reflective. Tests show that
the cabin
interior temperature can be reduced by as much as 25 degrees. It is
water, ice and snow repellent, yet it is
breathable
enough to allow moisture to escape from between the cover and the
windshield surface. Silver Laminate
contains no
hydrocarbon compounds which can harm plexiglass windshields and
acrylic finishes.
The Exec 162
Rotor Hub Cover encloses the rotor hub and blade roots out to a
distance of about 24 inches. The
skirt of the
cover is designed to snap tightly around the outer fairing. This
cover is made of Cordura nylon for high
abrasion resistance.
The Tail Rotor
Cover is a one piece design enclosing the blades, hub and control
shafts. It is made of Cordura nylon
for abrasion resistance.
