Compass

This is an instrument that has seen its day and has become just about useless as far as I was concerned.

We had to have one and it had to have the little data plate installed to pass the certification.

When you go through flight school you'll be using it alot. Just about all the rest of us have a GPS unit and we thought we'd find the compass to just be added weight and something else to keep clean and maintained. Anticipating this we installed ours in the pod on the far right side in the line up. If I close my right eye I can't even see it lol.

Later on now that were flying our ship I'm not sure if its just easyer or because of all that engrained flight training but I use the compass constantly.

Theres one right there in my instrument scan on the GPS display screen but for some reason I just can't seem to get myself to use it, so go figure lol.

I didn't want to in the beginning but as soon as we can aford it were going to get one of those neat looking card units and hang it in the center of the windshield like the ships at the RotorWay factory and replace the one we have with a clock in its place or something lol.
