Chain Drive

This wasn't too tough to build and assemble.

We first intended to build the ship and use up the 100 hours on the chain. After we got the ship finished we tore it all back down for final painting and had one hell of a time getting the shaft out of the front bearing. It was very difficult getting it to come apart and it didn't even have loctite on it yet. We couldn't imagine doing the change over with the ship completely built so we decided to go ahead and install the Pro-Drive cog belt on reassembly.

We made a larger window and used a special type of acrylic that doesn't burn or distort when it gets hot. Our goal was to have as much view and to have as much room for working on it as we could.
