Battery Charging / Aux Power Port

This was something we added later
when we figured out we needed an easier way to keep the battery maintained.

 We bought a small battery maintainer/charger that you plug in and forget.  We only use it about once a week or so because I don't trust it lol.

 
The down side to using one of these is if the AC power supplying the unit should shut down
the charging unit sucks power back out of the battery
which will more then likely ruin it depending on how long a time passed until you notice it.

The port itself came from Boat USA here in Knoxville, TN, at a modest price of about $15.00 and you also have to buy the male connector separate for another $8.00 or so. We bought 2 extra male plugs to take advantage of using other 12 volt items so add at least another $8.00 bucks for each thing you want to power off the port lol.
