51 Alternator Option

This is a bit of an odd option because the ship sucks a lot of electric power.

Once we install all the avionics, lights and extra gauges this thing is going to be lucky to keep up with it all and with the 31 amp unit the factory supplies with the kit it would be lucky to keep the engine up to snuff much less all the other stuff Donna and I installed.

So far the 51 amp unit has worked well. We have have several hours of night flying on the ship with everything in it cranked up to the max and it hasn't missed a lick. Up until the first half of 2004 our battery did great even even though the norm I'm told is to loose about 1 volt of voltage per year due to the expiring life of the battery. Last check we did with nothing turned on but the FADAC readout in the ship in  Jan 04 it was still putting out 12.49 volts. Later that year we ended up changin it out because we were getter a low voltege reading after startup on the fadec.
